know this is saloon bound but i got direct tv cable man coming tomorrow and have a question that not even the website has an answer to. so i just bought a new house and am gonna have cable set up up in three different rooms. my question is do i need a tv in each room for them to complete setup? i got the tv for the main room set up but am waiting for my other tvs to get here. thanks in advance fellas
As long as you can tell him where the TVs are going so he can run the wiring you don't need a person there for final install. They will activate your other receivers over the phone when the TVs arrive.
Hate to play Devil's Advocate here but it actually depends on the tech.
I haven't had DirecTV in 2 years since my initial install. But techs get paid by job. Not individual receivers. So technically since your job won't be complete because your 3rd tv isn't there. The tech won't get paid by Directv unless job is complete 100%. Tech may intentionally change work order to 2 TV's so it's complete. Then you'd have to bit@# at DirecTV on that one bringing out another tech once your 3rd TV arrives. Again, it's all on the tech that arrives. Will he be easy to work with? Or will he be a dik?
