    Owming a Pool

Who on here has a house with a pool?

Inground, above? Do you do the maintenance yourself? Cost? Insurance?

Thinking about buying a house in the next 6-9mos and a lot in our price range have pools... Seems like a burden. I do love swimming.

The best pool is someone else's pool. Fun for the first year but become a pain to maintain and equipment upkeep is high. (Pumps, Polaris, heaters, etc).

yeah, I have one and love it....just keep your water balanced.....it's a cake walk.

Nothing beats an evening poolside with family and friends, The excitement of dusk when the pool light comes on, one on one time with family members, pool games, downtime to just float, relax and think. Summer smells- food on the grill, suntan lotion. Jumping in the pool after a summer rain, outdoors, a cool summer breeze and the first time you feel the chill getting out of the pool on a summer night.

    I wouldn't own one.

    They are money burners.

We have a community pool/rec. center in my gated community.

I'm sure you have friends with pools. Use theirs.
