I work mainly in civil litigation, Fidel. I'm basically an independent contractor who offers support services to help various lawyers/companies with their cases.

I'm all over the place ... Court/medical/financial record research and retrieval, process serving, posting foreclosure notices, preparing/filing affidavits, picking up citations/documents at the court house, Workers Comp sign-up, stakeout missions, etc.

I like the work. The worst part about my job is that I have to drive a lot, as traffic can get pretty awful around here at times.

Different lawyers and companies ask for certain services to assist them in the litigation process, I provide them, I invoice them, and they pay me. No taxes (until April ). Nice and easy.
