    There is a drink that you can only get in one place in the world - it’s called the ‘Sourtoe Cocktail’, and it’s served at the Sourdough Saloon in Dawson City. The ‘cocktail’ consists of a shot of pure hard alcohol, and garnished with a mummified human toe that has been preserved in salt. According to the legend, you only earn the distinction of being a true “Sourtoe-er” if the toe touches your lips for the duration of the shot. Saloon employees say that the high alcoholic content of the drinks keeps the 2-3 toes on rotation sterile enough to touch the lips of the almost dozen or so people brave enough to attempt this every night.
