    Al Gore Made $100 Million In One Month

    Fourteen years later, he made an estimated $100 million in a single month. In January, the Current TV network, which he helped to start in 2004, was sold to Qatari-owned Al Jazeera Satellite Network for about $500 million. After debt, he grossed an estimated $70 million for his 20 percent stake, according to people familiar with the transaction.

    Dude can't you read properly?

    He sold his stake in a tv network and got $70 mil from that. Two weeks later, he sold 59,000 shares of his Apple stock for another $30 mil.

    That's $100 million in 3 weeks.

    i only read the posted quote not the article

    but let me blow your mind here - actually, Al Gore made $70 MILLION IN ONE MINUTE! He sold his stake in a TV network and got $70 million, so the minute the paperwork for that was finalized, AL GORE MADE $70 MILLION IN ONE MINUTE!! So as you can see, it's actually EVEN WORSE than $100 million in one month!

    I mean instead of saying he made $100 million in one month, why not be even MORE misleadingly sensational and say he made $70 million in one day? I am curious as to why you chose "one month" as your time span for optimal sensationalism
