I got a question for all you tough guys....?

Can any one of you cook?
I don't mean cracking open a box of Ronzoni, slap it into a boiling pot of water for 9 minutes and call it dinner.
I mean, cook an actual meal?

I am. I grew up in Louisiana, and I'm an excellent cook, especially with cajun cuisine.

Very improved the last couple years. Before that, no skills at all.

    BBQ is not really "cooking".

Maybe I'll post some pics later, nothing special but beats eating junk food.

Grilling is an art form. Yep, as long as there are like grilled veggies and stuff, I count a good grilled meal.

Used to eat out every night. Not junk. Good stuff but eating out every night is bad for your health.

One of my favorite meals is some sweet cornbread, crawfish etouffee, and some peach cobbler for dessert, all homemade.

    spiced chicken
bean stew (tomato paste, garlic, spices, lemon, water, broth)
iraqi salad (carrot parsley chick peas cucumber lemon olive oil)
baba ghanoosh (this is easy, garlic, slice eggplant, roast it salt oil, blend it with salt, pepper, lots of olive oil, maybe some paprika, and then some tahini or if you don't have you can use a little penut butter.

here's a good recipe for some crawfish etouffee. you can substitute shrimp if you can't find crawfish locally. it'll take you all afternoon to make it, but it's so worth it.

A man should be self-sufficient. He shouldn't need to rely on anybody. My dad taught me how to cook, sew, hunt, fish, work on his truck, etc, and I'll be teaching my son all those same things.

I love to grill with different sauces-- chicken, pork, steak, ribs, shrimp etc and some vegetables

I can cook some things as well just choose not to for the most part, only enjoy working the grill outside......Rather have a girl cook for me or go out and pick up food

You make your own enchilada sauce or buy it canned? I can't find the canned sauce in costa rica, and I haven't bothered to lookup a good recipe.

What's your secret to best steaks and taters? Steak is fairly simple. Always let it warm up to room temp before cooking it, and let it rest afterwards.
