Exercise enthusiasts: I suggest The Runkeeper application

It's on all smartphones and it's free. It monitors all types of exercise in relation to distance, calories burned, speed per mile, and the gps on the phone kicks in and gives you a virtual map of the direction that you take.

I'm so consumed with the numbers that I don't think about the exercise. Very accurate app and I highly reccommend. ( I have Droid 2)

Everyone uses STRAVA and that allows you to not only watch yourself improve but you can compare your stuff to what other guys are doing. It is mostly for biking and running but as long as you do the same portion of a work out you will get a time automatically accessed and that will allow you to see where you compare to other people. If you want to pay you can also look at age groups, weight classes and other different criteria.
