I have a SSD alert setup on slickdeals so I get messaged whenever there is a good deal posted. I've been waiting and waiting to buy a SSD, all these magazines I read and websites say a SSD is the best thing you can buy for a computer, and that once you use it you'll never go back to a traditional hard drive. I almost jumped on a $350 512GB Corsair M4 deal that was posted the other day, but then I realized I'd probably never use that much space. That and I've read people post reviews about the M4 series not being the most reliable.

Well this Samsung 830 at $190 and 256GB is perfect. Bought 1 as soon as the deal went live.

Tomshardware had this in their monthly SSD recommendation list (link above). Best SSD for $300 when they published it.....so at $190 it must be considered a steal.
