    I've already seen all the family guys and storage wars is all fukin scripted (all 100 shows about buying storage lockers), the reality is when you buy a storage locker 99 out of a 100 times you get some broken down appliances and other worthless junk not a chest full of gold doubloons from the Spanish armada

    Your getting off easy, Comcast in Florida hits me for just under $200/month including my internet. All I get is digital, HBO, and a couple extra boxes. Thinking about going to Direct way pretty soon.

    Virtually everything that is prerecorded we download these days. There was interesting book put out in Australia about Sports being the only thing that sells TV subscriptions. Hence when Murdoch was setting up Fox Sports Australia he went in so hard after Rugby League.

    I have to agree with this.
    Simpsons = done too

    24 - gone
    NYPD Blue - long gone
    I used to love D'Ononfrio in Criminal Intent (that's gone)
    L & O might as well packed up 8 years ago when Orbach died

    What's left?
    American Idol, please? That's been sucking right after Carrie Underwood won.
    My wife loves the food shows, I guess that's OK, but I even made the comment after I got home last night (true)
    I said to my wife "the shit that passes for TV these days....."

    Well if you sift through the Kardashians, Kourtney & Kim Take New York, Kim & Khloe Take A Dump, Kourtney & Khloe do St. Barts, Khloe & Lamar, Khloe & Lamar 2.0 Dallas, etc. Then there is still some good viewing out there.

    The league (Already mentioned)
    Parks & Recreation
    Just to name a few.

    Some of you guys need to learn to negotiate a little. I don't pay full price on anything unless it's a tax, city water bill, or just a given in which you always have to pay full price. For instance... cell phone service, home phone service, cable service, internet etc... you should never pay full retail pricing. Think about it for a second... if you could drop $20 on each of the bills for one year... look at the money you could save. $20 + $20 + $20 + $20 = $80 X 12 months = $960 A year in savings. The key is always threatening to leave... or breaking the contract. Contracts are obsolete nowadays... I'll explain why. For ever service you have... you need to find a competitor... a strong competitor in the market... for instance... in Michigan we have Comcast Cable services and WOW Cable services... The going rate for basic high speed internet services is $52.00 a month... I've been paying $30 for almost a year now... and they just raised it back to $32. The key is... I always try to save $20 (from retail) on all my bills. These company's can afford it. Always threaten to leave... just like I told Comcast... WOW Cable would buy me out of my contract. You always should use leverage on these companies. You need to save money. DirecTV is easy to work with. They use to be around $72 with Total Choice and 2 receivers... I was paying $52 for the same package... you just need to negotiate and get all your facts straight before you call them. Always ask for "Retention Department"

    agreed, but my wife and son always manage to find something.

    some of his cartoon (6 yr old) are better than prime time sitcoms. thought shows based on dick jokes died with Married with Children, but i was wrong.
