Anybody ever been to Cedar Point?

I moved and I'm thinking about checking this place out. Is it worth the hype?

I've been. Was fxcking awesome. The best times are really early in the day and really late. I went 3 straight times running through the empty queue on the maverick right before the place was gonna close down.

    Musts: Maverick, Top thrill, Millenium

Is it expensive? Do you have to wait forever for ride? How many roller coasters are there and does 1 stand above the others or are there a lot of really good ones?

Been there many many times. Well worth it, make sure you go on a weekday, during the school year. Best time to go.

My input: Avoid the old wooden coasters if you can.

They rattle the head a bit, yes. Gemini is still an all time classic. Fukk the mean streak. Waste of time and gives you a concussion.

It has to be the BEST RIDE PARK in AMERICA
We go every year. 17+ or so thrill rides coasters and such
You can always find discount tickets.
    Go early and stay late.
A lot of schools and Charter buses get there around 12(noon) and start leaving at 8p,m
So before and after you can easily get one the big best coasters with almost no line.

Growing up in Ohio I have been there dozens of times. Its like Disney World if you didnt have the Disney part of it and the rides were better! Its like $75 for a ticket but well worth it. Most of the newer coasters have bigger cars so they can run people through pretty quick (not like the 4 hour wait when Magnum XL200 came out). All of the rides are worth it, Gemini the old wooden coaster doesnt flip or anything, but it beats the crap out of you. Top Thrill is the only ride in a long time I actually remember shaking a little bit as I got closer to the front of the line! Something about watching a 400 ft high ride swaying back and forth in the wind. We actually still try to go back every year or two to go again.

Oh, and Geauga Lake (or I think its Six Flags now) is pretty cool too, not on the same level, but if you have a Saturday to burn its worth it. Its a little cheaper and the lines are a little shorter. Def. Kings Island if you make it down to Cincinnatti

Twice. Once when i was a kid and once when i went on a cross country trip a few years ago.

It's the best roller coaster park in the country. No doubt about it in my mind. When i was a kid it was the best place i had ever been. When i went back a couple years ago, the only problem was that I was a lot bigger and a lot of the rides weren't comfortable at all. I'm not fat or overweight at all, but I'm tall and the a lot of the rides weren't fun, they just fuking hurt. If you're an average size guy i'd guess that you would love the place.
