    Mods, I Have A Question/Concern...

    One member from Covers.com by the name of "The Giant" decided to join this forum yesterday but was unable to as he was banned. Could someone please explain this to me? I hope this was just a simple mistake and that he'll be able to join here once you guys clarify the mix-up.

    Hi Seaweed - There are a few reasons why he may have been auto restricted from the forum ie trying to post too many links/images in his first post, if another account already exists in the household, etc... The best thing for him to do is send an email to forum@sportsbookreview.com and someone will be able to look into it for him.

    The Giant said that he got an auto reply in his first post sayiong he was being abbned becuase it was determined he was a "spammer"

    The Giant said that he did contact someone at the address specified in the auto reply

    Apparently the Giant had signed up at CTG, as "The Giant" then uploaded his Dr. Phil avatar,
    When he tried to make his first post, this happened:

    He should email in like Shari said. We have some auto filters for new users which are pretty accurate but that doesn't mean he can never post again. Usually these happen when they post with a 2nd acct.

    I did e-mail a couple of times over the weekend, today I received a reply from a gentleman named Lou. He said I posted too many hyperlinks on my initial post, and sometimes those get auto-banned.

    Everything seems great now.

    (handshake without inserting a hyperlink)

    It seems safer that way.

    This thread was originally in the Newbie forum - a breeding ground for spammers and bots. If you look in there now, you'll see a thread started by a poster where I'm the only person who replied yet it has 9k views as well. Nothing to do with the content of the thread or who originally posted it. (Sorry Seaweed).
