    While I also believe it's a hearing aid, I also realize that society likes to concoct rational explanations for unexplained phenomena. Even if were not a hearing aid, I do not see everyone agreeing that it's a time traveler, we would have just found another explanation.

    A person talking to themselves to check sound levels or whether the batteries are working is hard to believe. I think it's a time traveling cell phone owner.
