Woman arrested after trying to make meth inside S. Tulsa Walmart
TULSA - Tulsa Police say a woman tried to make a meth lab inside a south Tulsa Walmart.
According to police, Alisha Halfmoon, 45, began taking items used to make meth off of shelves at the Walmart located at 81st and Lewis in south Tulsa. She then began trying to make the drug while still inside the store.
Loss prevention officers called police.
When officers took the items outside the store, some spilled. One officer suffered a minor burn to his hand.
No customers were injured. Police said this isn't their first introduction to Halfmoon.
"She's been arrested before for the manufacture of methamphetamine. While speaking with some of the firefighters on the scene she made statements that that's what she was doing that she was attempting to obtain these chemicals and was in the process of trying to manufacture methamphetamine. However she said that she was not very good at it," said police officer David Shelby.
According to the Oklahoma State Courts Network, Halfmoon was taken into custody on September 13 on one count of endeavoring to manufacture controlled drugs - methamphetamine. The disposition was dismissed a month later after the prosecution's witness failed to appear.
On November 6, Halfmoon was again taken into custody. She was held on two counts, one for unlawful possession of a controlled drug - methamphetamine. The other count was obtaining a controlled drug by forged/altered prescription. She was charged for both counts on November 17.
Halfmoon was arrested Thursday night and is being held without bond.
