    computer related questions

My computer had the "windows xp recovery" virus last week. Got rid of it, everything seems to be working fine again and just as fast as before except for when I try to stream video's. Post-virus this computer is suddenly slow as molasses loading youtube video's, a 5 minute youtube video is taking around 10 minutes to fully load, and the streaming tv shows on sites like hulu and stuff used to play fine before, now the video's are basically unplayable because it just skips and freezes every couple seconds.

Not too knowledgeable when it comes to computer tech stuff, anyone have any ideas of what I can do to fix this?

Run your anti-virus program in safe mode and try resetting your browser settings.

If that doesn't work try a system restore to a date before the virus.

Take the hard drive out, use a magnet to clean it and put it inside the computer again. The virus will get stuck on the Magnet

You can always buy a virus eleminator magnet from me for $10,000 I invented it personally. You plug it in and put it next to the computer it will elimate every Virus in every hard drive you got in the computer.

The red light on the magnet will tell you when it's full of Viruses. You then need to empty it with my personally invented magnet cleaner which would cost you an extra $5,000.

I will pay your money back if you find viruses on your computer after the electromagnetting cleaning.

Although I strongly advise to leave the house and evacuate the neighbours when the magnet is plugged in and turned on. To guarantee your safety you can turn it on by a remote controller. Then you will hear a noise which indicates that the magnet has attached to the computer's body. When the magnet gets full of viruses the remote control will vibrate so you'll know when to turn it off.

Seriously you should install an antivirus after your XP is running it's the 1st thing to do.

I strongly suggest Norton 360, I used that software for 5 years now. It's not cheap but it those the job. Never needed to reinstall windows. I also have viruses sometimes but it gets rid of them soon.

In this world a simple antivirus is not enough protection there's a lot of harmful stuff out there.

one person at this site suggested to add more ram to the comp. Just like any gambler you want it right now (me 2) but if you google your problem eg. how to add ram or whatever you should be able to find step by step instructions...good luck
