From one point of view, the Americans did not present sufficient evidence to prove their claim, and from the other point of view, the sources close to Sheikh Usama bin Laden have not announced their position - confirming or denying - what Obama announced the martyrdom and therefore, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers discussion about the subject, before the release of an official statement from sources close to the Sheikh, premature. So I just wan't to reiterate that the claim of martyrdom is strictly my opinion.

Following the boasts and gloats of the arrogant president Barack Obama that he ordered the murder of 'unarmed' Sheikh Osama bin Laden without trial or consideration of his rights and the shooting and kidnapping of his defenceless wife and son, Muslims around the world are witness to America's utter disregard for fairness or justice.

September 2011 when the American president declared they wanted Sheikh Osama bin Laden dead or alive, placing a mercenary's bounty on his head; since they refused to offer evidence of any crime to the Taliban government who was willing to place him on trial; since they invaded, occupied and ransacked Afghanistan, murdering hundreds of thousands innocent Muslim men, women and children – and wounding and displacing millions more - all in the name of fighting Sheikh Osama; since they used chemical weapons and carpet bombing to murder thousands in Fallujah, Baghdad and elsewhere in Iraq; since they kidnapped and rendered thousands of ghost prisoners without any due process, charge or trial; since they tortured thousands more in the dungeons of Guantanemo Bay, Bagram Airbase and Abu Ghuraib - violating and humiliating Muslims at every opportunity; since they sent 'kill teams' to shoot at and run over Muslim children with US tanks in Iraq; since they had great scholars of Islam and callers to Islam held hostage for years, if not tortured or killed without any evidence or crime; since it paid and kept every tyrant dictator from Mubarak to Gaddafi in power for decades, securing US interests with the price of gallons of Muslim blood; it has become obvious to any observer that America has never had any intention of seeking any truth or justice, on the contrary it is responsible for oppression and injustice against Islam and Muslims at every turn.

Today we see the American injustice has not ended but continues in the continued detention of the elderly, blind and ailing Sheikh Omar Abdul Rehman in American prisons, Sheikh Khalid al Fowwaz, held in Britain for over 12 years without trial at the request of America, along with Sheikh Adel Abdul Bary who has been held for over 10 years without trial, Sheikh Abu Qatadah – over 6 years, Sheikh Abu Hamza over 7 years, Fahd Hashmi, Babar Ahmed, Talha Ahsan and countless others held in prisons across the world without any crime by order of America. It appears that America believes it is above any law; that the murder of Muslims is justice; kidnap of Muslims is freedom; bombings and occupation of Muslims lands is peace and that justice is 'too good for Muslims'.

Muslims around the world are fed up with American injustice and demand the release of Muslim prisoners like Sheikh Omar Abdul Rehman and all others around the world.

There is serious concern among many around the world as to whether or not the U.S. military really got the master mind behind Sept. 11, 2011 - Osama Bin Laden. The matter is aggravated by the lack of serious proof and even from official statements being released, trying too hard to make it seem he was "Islamically" buried at sea. Why would this statement be repeated again and again? Why would the U.S. seem so concerned over whether public enemy number one is buried "Islamically" or not? That should be the least of the concern after so many innocent people from America and other countries have lost their lives in an effort to locate and eliminate this man.

Most of the world has been rejoicing and jumping up and down since the announced "Islamically correct" burial-at-sea of this man. Yet, it appears few have really taken into consideration the very important question - "Did they really get him?" And "What is the real proof?"

While almost the entire world is rejoicing on the news of the death of Osama bin Laden, one very important question that comes to the mind is about the corpse of the most hated man on earth. Is the photo of Osama's corpse real?
True that there are images over the internet that show a bullet-ridden face of Osama bin Laden, but that is where the question surfaces. A close look at the image and once can find that the image appears somewhat unreal.
Another case in point, is why have the prominent newspapers and websites of the United States and other European nations not shown that particular image which is doing the rounds? Aren't they sure if it Osama's corpse or are they waiting for an official picture release from the US army?
The third question that arises is why have the US army not released a photo of Osama's corpse? The team that brought Osama to justice, are most likely to have the images of the corpse and they haven't yet released it. It is likely that the corpse's photo would be too harsh to for public viewing and probably they will be releasing a moderate version of it anytime soon.
A closer look at various US government websites and one is unable to find any real photograph to establish the army and indeed the President's claim about Osama's death. So it can be concluded that the images being circulated are fake.
There are too many ifs and buts surrounding the photo of Osama bin Laden's corpse and it would be indeed great if the US army or government takes that one step to release the related photographs to let the whole world know how painful was the death of the man who was responsible for loss of several lifes.

As for supposedly dumping his body at sea, in which CNN has said they washed his body and wrapped in a white sheet and then dumped at sea. Here is what really happened. the US military washed his body in piss. by this i mean they literally pissed on his body and then kicked him and pushed him off the aircraft carrier. THAT is exactly what happened. You think the US cares about a Islamic burial.. COME ON who you think they fooling. This man was most wanted for 10+ years..

The only thing that is certain is U.S intelligence and the Obama administration is being dishonest about the recent Bin Laden fiasco. They have already been caught lying already concerning the recent events concerning Bin Laden. Also we all know that it is normal protocol to lie about facts concerning "national security". It is my opinion that Sheikh Osama is dead but I doubt the story the U.S is trying to pass off as truth. Regarding the illegal operation by the U.S war machine in Pakistan which supposedly killed Bin Laden, well no one can make an honest argument about the legality of the so called raid. It is in violation of numerous international laws and if the same crime was perpetrated against the United States everyone would be crying foul. One Last Battle: Spinning Bin Laden's Legacy

The operation against Osama bin Laden was more than just a military raid. It was also an opportunity to attack bin Laden's image and ideology.

The war on al-Qaida is in part a propaganda struggle, fought with the aim of changing attitudes in the Muslim world.

Finding and killing bin Laden was not enough. Almost as important was what came afterward: the work of telling the story of the operation in such a way as to advance U.S. interests.

The Bin Laden Narrative

In the time since bin Laden was killed, each day has brought a little more news about the operation. This week, we learned that a bin Laden diary found in his house showed he had differences with his followers over what targets should be hit. And U.S. officials anonymously told Reuters that pornography was found in bin Laden's compound.

Were those details leaked by U.S. officials anxious to discredit bin Laden's al-Qaida movement in the Muslim world? If so, it would be an example of what's called strategic communication — putting out news that furthers your cause.

"Strategic communication is a huge part of the bin Laden killing. Taking advantage of that, getting the message out, framing it in the right way to get some benefit from it," says Christopher Paul of the RAND Corporation.


If before his death bin Laden had lost some control over his followers, the al-Qaida movement could be in real turmoil now. Michael Doran, who served as the Pentagon's strategic communications specialist under President Bush, says he'd be emphasizing that point if he were still in his old job.

"There's one main message that you want to hammer home at every opportunity, and that's basically: al-Qaida is on the ropes, the organization is going down," Doran says.

The White House has in fact been making that point.

Paul, who studies strategic communication efforts, says administration officials have generally risen to the strategic occasion in talking about bin Laden's death.

"They got a solid B or B+. They planned ahead. They did a lot of things right. They grappled with some hard issues, and there were a few things that didn't go perfectly," Paul says.

The most notable faux pas was on the day after the bin Laden raid, when White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan suggested that bin Laden, the jihadi hero, resided in a Mansion and used a woman as a shield when Navy SEALs came after him.

"Here is bin Laden, living in this million-dollar-plus compound in an area that is far removed from the front, hiding behind women who were put in front of him as a shield. I think it really just speaks to just how false his narrative has been over the years," Brennan said.

U.S. officials later corrected their own narrative, saying bin Laden did not use a woman as a human shield. They did later put out a video of bin Laden sitting on his floor, wrapped in a blanket, watching himself on television, The idea there may have been to portray him as vain and obsessed with his own image. But some pious Muslims may actually have seen him as appearing humble, and Doran points out that bin Laden's residence appeared a bit shabby.

"It didn't look like a mansion. The pictures of him, the video of him in front of the television, didn't look like he was living in luxury. If you're inclined to follow bin Laden and to respect him, I don't think anything you saw there is going to make you not respect him," Doran says.


The Bin Laden Narrative

When government spokesmen exaggerate in their eagerness to score a propaganda point, their credibility suffers.

Ben Rhodes, the deputy national security adviser for strategic communication, says the Obama administration knows that, and he points out that any administration misstatements about the bin Laden raid were quickly corrected.

"What was important in those initial days was getting the facts out and then insofar as they needed to be corrected, very forthrightly and immediately coming forward and saying, 'We've learned additional information. Here's what we understand the facts to be,'" Rhodes says.

Propaganda and spin are generally seen as efforts to manipulate or even deceive people. But in this media age, there is little disputing the notion that any organization — from al-Qaida to the U.S. presidency — needs to have a message and put it out clearly. Rhodes says a strategic communications goal of the Obama administration has long been to challenge the al-Qaida argument that the United States is at war with Islam or the Muslim world.

"Around his death, I think we saw it as an important opportunity to say Osama bin Laden in many ways had already become irrelevant in parts of the region," Rhodes says. "His narrative of violent resistance and violent change had actually been eclipsed by the peaceful protests that we see in many parts of the Arab world."

And that strategic message is one we'll likely hear next week, when President Obama makes a speech about recent developments in the Middle East.
