    I need a GPS. any recommendations?

    I need one for my father. Price not a problem. It has to have a 5" screen. Any recommendations is greatly appreciated!

    I don't know how big the EVO is, but the screen is plenty big enough for me to see.


    Plus, if you're walking around a city, and want to find out where someplace is, check your phone, then you don't have to have a GPS in your pocket.

    Just get an Iphone or Android.

    4.3 on the evo. i was going to say smart phone until i saw OP said 5" is a must. hell i use my g1 as a nav device when traveling and its only a 3.2

    Ahh didn't notice the 5" is a must.

    G/f had a Garmin, it was nice. Haven't used it in a few years since getting smartphones though.

    I honestly didn't know with all the newer smartphones, that people still bought Navigations.

    not sure if its 5" but i had the tomtom xxl and it was pretty big and easy to use.

    tomtom is good...i like magellan because it has address and phone numbers with it too, so it comes handy when trying to book a hotel at the last minute

    thanx for all the suggestions! i agree with smartphones can be used as a GPS. as i myself have one. but its for my dad. and hes old school. he won't know how to work a smartphone. lolz. Tom Toms and Garmin i've heard are great. but any specific models? i've looked around online and most of them have the same functions but some have greater/better ratings then others. So i'm kinda at a stand off.
