    gambling and marriage doesn't work. you cannot do both. women are looking for a meal ticket and men think about the sex they're gonna get. but that wears off quickly and men turn to gambling which eventually destroys the marriage. also kids cost way too much so there shouldn't be any money for the most important thing in life which is betting.

    more to the point...why would someone get married to a person who already has kids. The step kid makes life hard because he knows you cant hit him or really discipline him in any way because the father is still around. When he turns 18 its see ya...all that money raising him in a household just for some entitled kid to ignore you. No woman is worth that

    It's a scam that women have been pulling off for a long time.

    Families used to give the groom money, land, farm animals etc. to take their daughter.

    Yes unfortunately the US government decided long ago that they should legislate differences between married people and non-married people in the form of taxes and individual rights. It is another in a long, long line of absurd, outdated, and religiously influenced American laws.

    With that said marriage isn't for me. All of my friends are either divorced (with baggage and/or court ordered income theft) or trapped in miserable marriages. I'll pass.

    Completely agree. To me, that's the only reason to ever get married. If you want to have kids, then get married. If you have zero desire to procreate and raise children, then there's no reason to get married.

    Honestly it's all about what your woman. Chicks have it imprinted in their minds that they need a wedding to be complete. As males, we don't understand how a piece of paper or a ring makes a difference over being in a relationship with a chick. I've been dating a girl for three years & in all honesty the only difference between today and five years from now is going to be a piece of fukking paper and a minus sign in my bank account for buying a ring at some point plus a fukking wedding. Again, girls control the universe with their vaginas.

    Kids and stability. I can't tell you how much stupid money I blew through wifey keeps that in check. Plus we get a ton more back on our taxes and knowing you're gonna get some on a nightly basis is awesome.

    For one thing your taxes go way down...

    I'm surprised a gay couple or even a straight single person hasn't sued the government over this yet. It's unfair for people who don't want to get married to pay thousands more in taxes every year.
