Jonathan, it's been a busy week with lots of new activity on common sense gun laws, discussion on tariffs and a visit by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Read more below!
Common-Sense Gun Laws:
In November, Gov. Kasich called for bringing together interested people on all sides of the gun issue to sit down and find common ground. The goal was to respect 2nd Amendment rights while finding reasonable, common-sense and constitutional ways to reduce the terrible toll of violence.
The group reached unanimous agreement on important proposals to help make Ohioans safer from gun violence.
On Thursday, members of the group joined Gov. Kasich at a statehouse to announce the details. You can read more here.

First off, he was responding to your laughable statement that we need to thank "liberal" policies for Highways in the 50's (as if we'd all shrivel up and die without US Highways?), and those Interstate's, as he pointed out correctly, were built under Eisenhower. The PWA didn't build ANY roads, let alone highways, as they built damns, schools,and bridges, and were a boondoggle of gouging and waste. The WPA was done at a more local level, and that program was the one supposedly hiring unemployed workers. Your blessed "public works" programs of the 30's were actually the idea of Rexford Tugwell, who admitted later on in life that they were actually continuing the policies of Hoover, who was so hooked on government programs that even FDR called him a socialist in the 1932 election. The WPA was also largely administered by Harry Hopkins, who was found out to be a lackey for Soviet communists later on, and some even accused him of being a Soviet spy, just like many of Roosevelts team were eventually arrested as being. Let's not forget FDR's assault on small business owners by forcing them to charge prices even higher sometimes than what they wanted (he was challenged by a brave merchant), and his dictatorial threat to add 11 hand picked justices to an expanded Supreme Court who kept rejecting his schemes as unconstitutional. Roosevelt never had an original idea in his spoiled, pampered life. He came from a long line of Dutch banking magnates, and grew up in extreme wealth. FDR was a usable toy for the Jewish bankers that he grew up around in his extreme wealth,and controlled him and his family for generations. Bernard Baruch ran the Roosevelt administration, and he made a fortune (he was already rich) when Roosevelt made owning Gold illegal through a dictatorial executive order (6102) which threatened free American citizens with huge fines and 10 year prison sentences if they didn't comply and forced people to give their gold to the government (who gave them to the banks) at a government set rate of $20 an ounce (robbing them even further), and put their savings into fiat Federal Reserve notes which quickly devalued down the road. Baruch, who owned nearly half of all the Silver in the world, made out like a bandit when Roosevelt through executive orders set the price of Silver. Sadly, Baruch's biggest accomplishment was suckering the feeble minded Roosevelt into breaking the Constitution and long held America policy to not intervene in foreign conflicts when the Lend Lease act was illegally carried out and armed Baruchs and Rothschilds English puppets (Churchill). While most of America wanted no part of another European conflict, the Zionist lunatics and Talmudic, anti-Christian internationalists told Roosevelt to bang the war drums, and after oil embargos and secret arming of nations, made American involvement into another needless World War inevitable, and the carnage and death of millions of fine young men in the prime of their life, all so that his internationlist friends could set up internationalist cabals and these lunatics could secure some phony "homeland" they called Israel. American men are still dying for them. Let us never forget that Roosevelt continued to blame Germany for the Katyn Forrest Massacre even though, as we now know through archives, he was told that it was in fact the work of the Soviet NKVD, his "allies". Just another president openly lying to the public to show support to his communist "ally", Joe Stalin and the Soviet Union, or as Roosevelt shamelessly called him, Uncle Joe.
