I will be moving to Mississippi on Friday for the month of January. I have the next two weeks reserved at the Beau for the 2010 Southern Poker Championships. I am taking a little over 20k with me to try and do some damage. I have played a couple of other large tourneys, but never this kind of commitment. I will try to post updates and some pic's the next couple of weeks. I want to win my seat to the WPT event, but I will Keep 10k in the safe just in case I cant. I am taking my shot.
Nothing great to report after the first weekend. I got busted out of a $200 satellite yesterday. I had the worst beat of my life. I had pocket 10's flop came 10-Q-10 Turn came Q the other guy went all in I a called. He had Pocket Q's I just sat there for a couple of minutes stunned. Oh well. I won about 500 in a 4-8 game so down about $100 after the weekend. Not bad. Lot of work to be done. Won some $$ on football and cbb so all is good right now. WHO NEEDS WORK!!! LOL
Last night poker was down about $300 sat and some cash games. Went up to my room about 1030 and tried to go to sleep but couldnt. I decided to go down and kill some time have a few drinks and play some black jack. I rolled out $600 and was playing two hands. Started at $25 on each hand and worked my way up to 200-300 per hand. I ended about 2 hours later up 6k. Great night! If I dont get laid tonight, I will drop a few hundred on a hot hooker!!! That is a bet!
Fcuk it was a good week. Well poker was just ok. I lost a few hundy trying to get into the WPT event at the end of the month. I won a little playing cash. I think this has been some of the best poker players that I have faced. There are people here from all over trying to get into the main event. I have seen a few of the bigger name players. No real stars though. I did get over my bad beat. I love telling the story, but I dont think other care to hear it. LOL Anyway I am here another couple of days before I go home for 3 days. I dont know if I will change my next stay up a little. Things seem much more relaxed around here during the week than it did on the weekend. I might skip the next weekend and just play during the week. Anyway although I did not win my ticket or make much money on poker read my next post!
I am on one of the best Blackjack streaks I have been on in a long time. I have played 14 sessions this week and I am 12-2 and up a little over 18k!!!!! I start with the same bankroll $600 and I have wins of 6k, 4.5K 2Kx2 the rest have been smaller wins but wins none the less. My two losses were 600 and one time I lost 600 in less than 15min so I pulled another 6 out ant lost that too. I have logged a few hours playing blackjack though. My host has me at 22 hrs for the week so far and my avg is right at 300 a hand per hour. I think that is a little low because most of the time I am playing 2 hands and almost never below 200 on each one and that does not count the double downs and splits and when I bump my bet. Anyway this 10day stay is fully comp'ed now with full RFB! For My stay next week the room is already comp'ed too. So this have been very fun and profitable, my goal is still to make a big score playing poker and play in the WPT event the last week of Jan.
I can tell I am a degen. I keep counting the money in my safe LOL. I make stacks and recount the stacks and make sub stacks. Maybe I am just over tired. Between the Cash I brought with me and what I have won. I have over 360 hundreds and a bunch of change. I will be making a bank run tomorrow! I am awake now. I am going to make a walk down to the casino and see if there is any "talent" working the floors. I am in the mood!!
Going home tomorrow boys. No WPT card yet, but I will be back later next week. My BJ run is up to 14-3 Just a hair under 20k. I may make one more run at it tomorrow and see if I can pop it. Anyway today I was toast most of the day. I was playing and watching football. I pretty much just donated while playing poker. I folded all the wrong hands and staying in on all the wrong hands. Busted with a set getting beat by a boat. I knew I was dead before the cards were turned up. Its ok though. I need a few days off and I will be as good as new.
