For those of you in the SBR Poker Championship this Saturday, and the satellite hopefuls, what structure would you prefer?

We are thinking of going 5,000 chips with 10-minute blind levels.

I like structure just like it is. Keep blind levels at 8, if you insists on adding chips fine but structure should be similar to what we qualified using.

but we are adding 36 players as well, so that would be like the super bowl playing 15 on 15.

you cant do the same thing saturday as you did for the last 6 months.

Playing for real cash deserves more actual play, in my opinion. Poker tournaments in general have longer play for bigger payouts, and since this is the biggest SBR tournament of the year, it should be entitled to longer levels and more starting chips.

I think 5K chips w/ 10 min blinds is best bet, but really doesn't matter to me.

it will come to push/fold strategy (and lucky) anyway

its a crap shoot. id rather the crap shoot be over in 2.5 hrs instead of 3.5

I agree. Adding some more chips and an extra minute or two to the blind levels lends itself to more play, and should give an advantage to a better player. This is the SBR Poker Championship, we want the best of the best representing at that final table.

That sounds good. I think we've been afraid to have something take 9 hours in the past but even with the larger tourneys in SBR history, a good % are out within 90 minutes no matter how its sliced.

Note that we can't actually manipulate the existing blind levels, simply modify the time/chips and how many blind levels are offered.

$215 tourneys on PokerStars have 5 min blinds and 3k chips just like their $1 tourneys.

They obviously have "deepstack" ones too but no one wants to play those.
