no problem, im assuming 2 5 minute breaks every hour, so id say the final table definitely starts between 715 and 815. im also assuming we have 86 players and 0 no shows unlike the satellites.

    10k Starting stacks 15min levels.

at least do 10 or 12min levels.

If you want to make it rapid and makit it all luck and no skill... THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF EVEN HAVING A POKER TOURNAMENT?

JUST PICK NAMES OUT OF A HAT AND THEN NOTIFY US OF THE WINNER!

A FEW HOURS OF TIME IS WELL WORTH IT FOR $5,000!

If you don't think that $5,000 is worth a few hours of your time, then TOUGH! For the rest of us normal people $5,000 is a lot of money! It is WELL WORTH the extra hour or two for the tournament to be structured more fair!

LONG LEVELS AND BIG STARTING STACKS.

(of course the donkeys want quick levels because it gives them a better chance to win. Longer levels favor skill.)

Poker is designed to be a skill game.

Stop trying to take the skill out of it and turn it into a crapshoot.

If you want to do a crapshoot because $5,000 isnt worth a few hours of your time... then dont even do a poker tournament.

Just cancel the tournament and pick names out of a hat to declare the winner. That's basically what you're doing with these rapid levels.

Give us Long Levels and Big starting stacks!

Your voice has been heard...many times...saying the same thing. Come on pal...you're just coming off as desperate now. I'm sure your take has been heard and SBR will do what they do.

    Good luck on Sat.

lol tat. i know. i just want to make my voice heard 10X because im the only one who wants long levels. I was hoping i would convince some of the skill players that they will have bigger advantage with longer levels.

guess it was to no avail.

i need this money to pay off my student loans.

Or to buy a big ass gold chain.

    one or the other.

Such bullshit! Play for 5 fuk'in months and then get the shittiest cards ever in the playoff. Every hand I went to showdown with was better than mine! Worst fuk'in format I've ever seen! SBR should have just taken the top 100 players and organized the championship from that. Not some stupid bullshit playoff with only 20-10-5-1 allowed to advance. Fuk'in asinine as usual!

understand, but this is more play than many 175 dollar tournies have online. 5k for first is definitely a nice cash, this is comparable to my closest casinos biggest weekly event.

Anywhere from 3K-5K starting stack with 8-10 min. blinds is fine.

No need for a marathon tourney.

in case you guys didnt see the structure, they have it under the info for the tournament.

    cliffnotes:

5k chips 9 min blinds basically what i told them the blinds should be for a 3 hour tournament on page 1 of this thread, they added 2 early levels of 10/20 and 15/30

And your odds of winning that $5K are the same whether the tourney features a 3K starting stack, 5K, or the absurd format you suggested. You're kidding yourself if you feel otherwise.

Everyone starts with two chips. Blinds start at 1/2 and go up every orbit. True test of skill

3k stack with the regular blind levels should be fine. If its such a deep stack and 15 minute blinds will be very little action the first hour to hour and a half which no one wants. You dont want half the hands having no meaning.
