One of the few networks left for Americans, Everleaf, have started capping some players winnings per day..per week..etc. They come up with a bubble like this

Message that comes up is this

House Rules:Tables Availability

To maintain healthy player and financial balances within the cardroom, players with weekly winnings of 750 Euros(or equivalent of) on our cash tables will see their access limited to certain tables. The status of each player will be reset at 00:00 every Sunday at which point all the tables will be made available again. This restriction does not apply to any tournaments.

This change is a NETWORK wide change.

To put it into context, less than 0.004% of the entire player pool will be affected by this change. It is this 0.004% of the player pool that accounts for over 50% of the net win on the entire network.

Minted are in no way attempting to justify this decision however we are bound by the rules of the network and will embrace this change for better or for worse.

All of you, who fall into the remaining 99.996% of the player pool, will have easier games.

Neil

Now should players be capped and have restricted access to the games or should they be shown the door completely?

The site makes rake off of all players so its not the same as the books just printing money for a few sharps. Is it right for a network to do this to try to preserve their player base?
