    martingale: what would u do?

If a guy on a forum has a "daily pick" record of around 600W-500L, and in 3 years has 8-game losing streak in a row 1 time, nothing greater, would anyone do martingale? say, 20 buck base? Is it worth it? Opinions?

there is always a first time for everything, including a losing streak long enough to blow through everything you have.
1 in 512 chance of a 9-game losing streak on even money picks.
    with a $20 base that's a $5120 bet on the 9th game.

Even if a losing streak of 9 is avoided, there is absolutely no advantage to Martingaling compared to straight betting.

Long run you are correct, in the short run there is an obvious advantage if you can avoid a losing streak
