    Everyone Is A Winner Here

Sad how many poters lie about winning in gambling. The win rate at forums is approx 85% by reading fellow posters. Its sad when your so insecure with yourself you have to say you win.

Well boys why are books not out of business then?? Everyone says I win this, I win that, this is easy, I make a good side income, ect.

I guess I am one of few that lose.

Oh yeh another fact 98% of sportsbettors lose long term but 85% of posters win long term.

I am laughing so hard I am aboout to cry.

Please right now and come clean and tell me how most of you lose and run to banls on Monday to pay off bookies.

There are times when they're losing , they're not posting. When they win, they get all happy and post on forum. I guess that's why you get such a high perecentage of winners.

I'll come clean....I am losing my ass right now badly. Fortunately, I had a great early season in baseball. I was up around $3500 going into August (35 units @ $100 per unit). Now, all of that is gone.....

If you want proof of how bad it has been for me, just check the "Best Bet" threads for the last month. I'm getting my ass handed to me in a hat.

jj i consistently post, (when i dont post then im not usually playing that day) and if you go back to when i started posting you would see a winning record. If i played NFL a lot or horse racing jj then i'd probably get my ass handed to me, so i mainly play baseball and football on some occasions and basketball when the season starts.

well, i remember JJ said he never takes bonuses. What about scalps? If you dont grab what the industry offers, than of course you are on the losing end long-term.
And if you think your knowledge about sports, or any shady insider infos, will help you win - than you are a gambling addict that needs help.

Ive had a rooten start to my football season. I dont bet alot of money I opened my account at first fidelity with 1k. I was up 700.00 but that as well as my 1k depoist has vanished (went f***ng 0-5 this weekend) took the eagles, cowboys, colts, steelers & n. illinois. Anyways I am gonna reload and open a new account with BET.Cris (please see my new thread opinions needed) I suck at money managment and have caught myself chasing bets. I will try to control this distructive urge, but I agree with jj most bettors only count there wins. I dont give a shit I suck so be it!

I don't claim to be real sharp, with he exception of preseason football which I have hit over 70% 2 straight years but with scalps, bonuses and line shopping my break even point is below 50%, which I top easily, it is not that hard to make money offshore with all the options you have.

and 98% is the number the touts tell you, I do not believe it at all, maybe it gets closer to that number whan players are cheating out of their money, but there are plenty of books that get run into the ground and I do not think it is Mudcat doing it by himself.

I lost my ass last weekend...and since the inception of my gambling career, I am down overall (started betting when I was 8)...but I'd say the last 5-7 years I have constistantly come out positive at the end of the year...still got a long career ahead of me (I hope..lol)...

so far pro football is like throwing darts at a wall. KC gets its ass kicked by denver. Giants not even close to an 0-2 chargers team and Idianapolis (3 tds total for Payton) what the F**k? I just re-uped 1 k at Chris. I think Im gonna make 50.00 bets til this shit sorts its self out. Anybody subscribe to a tout service thats actually working?? I hear this ad on the radio for "The Fat Jack" he says hell charge 10.00 abet. Anybody here of this service?

Most NFL bets are just throwing darts from week 1 to week 16

When you win it is just luck most of the time if you watch the highlights

Not more than 5% of gamblers win in a long or short period of time... There are some that win one season but loose it all and more the next season...

money management is paramount. happy, try not to risk more than one unitt of your bankroll per play and then once your bankroll increases 25-30% base your new unit bet on 1 percent of that number. gluck easier said than done

happy if you wanted to you could bet up to 2 percent of your bankroll which would be 24 but you wouldnt want to consider risking more than that. Plus i dont believe in starring systems where you play different games at different units, that requires mad skills but luck too

gluck with that, you stilll have an okay shot if you pick well. thats why those serious pros who bet 500 or more a game usually have at least 50k bankroll

The only pros I have seen in my experience bet much more than $500 per game. Recreational bettors with lots of money bet $500 per games...
Don't want to argue here... This is just my personal experience/opinion.

    good point jay88.

    In my humble opinion.....

Every bettor takes a different road. That's the beauty. I'm not saying you should go out and bet a dollar or 10 thousand dollars on one play, but its different for everyone.

Once the book has you outside of your comfort level, they win.

Good luck to all, and remember this "only bet what you can lose".

That is the main thing... All my years in the industry I still haven't seen a money management system, handicapper, picks or anything that can allow a bettor to win in the long run... Just bet for fun and bet what you can loose... The only way to make money gambling is once you win more than what you have deposited, stop gambling, and you'll be the only gambler that actually made money betting. Don't fool yourself and believe that in the long run you'll become a millionaire betting.

I only wager on football and the baseball playoffs. I am thinking about getting into horse racing as well because I really enjoy it.

This is my fifth year of betting on football. Believe it or not, I have shown a profit in all four years. My season ending NFL average is typically 55%-58%. My NCAA average is typically 57%-62%. I have rules and a gameplan that I stick to and I approach my betting very business like. I'm not gambling, I'm investing!
