Hello players! A long Super Bowl week has ended and most of you, I assume, are happy as the books got pounded on the Bowl; I’ll get to that on the Sunday wrap up. Monday in the NBA, the house picked up wins on New Jersey +3, Indiana -8.5, and the Clippers -3.5 while the players countered with Miami -17, Dallas -9.5, and Utah -3 to even up the NBA. In college hoops, the house won with Texas A&M + 1.5 and lost small with Louisville +4 to start out the week slightly on top.

Tuesday the house had a good NBA winning day with Sacramento +6 and Portland +5 and only losing the Lakers game that landed 8 in overtime. In college the players jumped on top with wins with Wisconsin -5, Wichita State -3, New Mexico -4, Illinois -8, Kansas -13, Colorado -8, and North Carolina -2.5 to almost sweep the board. The house itself had no significant wins so the players got back the NBA money plus took the lead for the week.

Wednesday in the pro hoops the house picked up wins on Cleveland +6, Dallas +2, and Chicago -2.5 and the players came back with Oklahoma City -7, Memphis -2.5, Denver -9, and Phoenix -6 to battle to a draw for the night. In NCAA the house picked up decisions on Indiana +3, Northeastern +5, South Florida +6.5, Evansville +5, Wyoming +14, Iowa +5, and Virginia +6. In turn, the players picked up a few wins on the big board with Marquette +6, Syracuse +3, West Virginia -9, Kansas State -7.5, and Duke -4.5, but still a good night for the house as a lot of action on the college board.

Thursday the house won NBA small with Milwaukee +7 and the Spurs +3 but lost the Heat game as they showed once again that when they want to, they can win at will. In the colleges, the house picked up wins on Michigan +16, Arkansas-Little Rock -1, Oregon State +13, Hawaii +12, San Diego +5.5, Pepperdine +21, and Portland +4. The players came back with Tennessee -8.5, Arizona -2.5, and Cal State Fullerton -1.5 to cut into a decent night for the house.

Friday saw the books pick up NBA wins on the Clippers +7.5, Detroit – 5.5, Dallas + 6.5, and Sacramento +4. The players countered with Orlando -6, Miami -5, Indiana -4, and Oklahoma City -2 to wash out the NBA; the house made a little because of volume and there were no real big games in colleges to speak of.

Saturday in the NBA, the players had a filed day winning with Dallas -3, the Lakers -5, Denver -4.5, Oklahoma City +1, and Golden State +3.5 while the house managed a win on Detroit +7; that plus the Portland game landing on the number made for a rough night in NBA for the books. In the busy college board the house won with Villanova -4, Iowa State +4.5, Oregon +8, Memphis+9, Mississippi + 2.5, Seton Hall +3, DePaul +18, and Florida +1. The players battled back with UCLA -4.5, Clemson -2, Illinois +2.5, Oklahoma +10, Kansas -4.5, Duke (as usual) -19, Cornell pick ‘em, Arizona and California landing 2 after an amazing 3 overtimes, Utah State -11, and Nevada -6 to cut into the books’ profits a bit but still a good day in college for the books, as most are.

Sunday – the day of reckoning – and I reckon the players had a party. First off, a great game overall just to watch and the house did ok on the side and moneyline, but they were close. The players tabbed the total and 80% of the parlays were to the over also, plus all teasers hit to the over a few players had under 51 but not many, the majority used the over 38 or so and who can blame them. It seems like every NFL total in any meaningful game goes over, it has been that kind of year. The players also had Pittsburgh and over in the second half tabbed to increase their profits and hand the books a coup de grâce ending to the NFL season.

Good luck players! Talk to you next week.
