HS Signing Day - How many 5 stars your team get?

Who cares. These rankings don't mean jack. 41 of the 106 players in the Super Bowl played outside of BCS Top 6 conferences.
Roethlisberger had 1 scholarship offer to play QB
    Rodgers had ZERO!

Nothing but hype. Give me a 3 star kid any day who will work his ass off on and off the field instead of some jig 5 star kid that thinks he can do whatever the hell he wants.

Actually you can have all the three star players you want. You won't win in major college football.

    Try this one on.

No team---since the BCS was created---has won a National Title---without have at least 2---top 5 classes in a four year period.

And----the teams with the most 5-star kids the past 10 years are as follows...

    1. Florida
    2. Alabama
    3. USC
    4. Texas
    5. LSU
    6. Ohio State
    7. Oklahoma

Notice anything? They all have won a National Championship in the last 10 years.

Recruiting good players provides an opportunity for a good coaching staff. That's the part of the equation that separates the great from the good. Some coaches can get players to play up to their potential...some coaches can't.

For example, if you go back the past ten years and look at Virginia Tech's recruiting class, you won't find many 5star guys if any, only a handful of 4stars and the rest 3star and 2star players. The difference is a coaching staff who recruits to a system and then coaches them up to be good players.

Good players win championships with good coaching staffs...no doubt about that. Look what Saban has done at Alabama. He gets the 5stars and 4stars and coaches them up. If they don't respond, they don't play. It's a two way street meaning good players are needed by coaches and good coaches are needed by the players.
