you dissect the bears in all facets of the game and they are as good as anyone in the NFC. they you pinpoint the person that holds the key, mr.jay pickler, then you realize you have zero chance at that point unless hester is running the wishbone.

    Why is that?

They already beat the Eagles and that game wasn't even as close as the final score indicated. That was an 18 point game in the 4th quarter and it took a miracle 30 yard 4th down touchdown pass into triple coverage with a minute left to make it a 5 point game.

Drew Brees has never won in Chicago. This is a dome team going on the road into what will probably be single degree weather. When Drew Brees traveled to Chicago in '06 for the NFC championship game he lost by 25 points. In '07 in week 17 when he had to win for a shot at the playoffs he threw 60 times and lost by 8 to a below .500 Bears team. He also lost in '08 and '03. Why all of a sudden is he going to go into Soldier Field to play an 11-5 team and do something he's never done before?

Neither team scares me to be honest, i think the bears match up fairly well against either saints or eagles. People are so stupid and think they know football inside out.

if you slept for 2 days straight dreaming your ass off there is no way you could come up with even a harry potter type story where jay cutler wins the superbowl. i am sorry please forget everything else and throw out all the garbage nonsense stats this and that crap. cutler is a choke artist and never won shit in his life. he has a good arm and can make a lot of throws yes, winners win the superbowl 99% of the time. i am not trying to be a dick i am telling you how it is in life and in winning at the highest level in sports and if you don't think so then you are just ignorant.

Please. For one thing, you're counting the Packers twice. Even still, they were only 3-3 against the playoff teams, which includes the Seahawks, whom they lost to.

Fact is, they played an easy schedule with the majority of their games against teams with losing records.

Cutler is hit or miss... bears were lucky to win many of their games this season
They will win their first playoff game though, Coach Lovie is expecting his contract extension that same day.

The whole team will put forward their best for the coach

Why wouldn't I count the Packers twice? They are a playoff team that took up 2 of their 16 games.

Yes, they were 3-3. And 3-3 is better than or equal to just about every team.

    Patriots 6-1
    Falcons 4-3
    Saints 3-2
    Bears 3-3
    Ravens 3-3
    Packers 3-3
    Eagles 2-2
    Steelers 2-4
    Jets 2-4
    Chiefs 1-1
    Colts 1-2
    Seahawks 1-3

Seems to me the Bears held their own vs playoff teams and then beat the teams they were supposed to beat just like every other team did.

Correct me if I'm wrong, and this isn't a dig on the Bears, but didn't the Bears have 4 wins over teams with backup QB's? I read that somewhere, who are the teams?

And to take it a step further. Wins vs .500 or worse teams...

    Steelers - 9
    Jets - 9
    Chiefs - 9
    Saints - 8
    Colts - 8
    Bears - 8
    Ravens - 8
    Falcons - 8
    Patriots - 7
    Packers - 6
    Eagles - 6
    Seahawks - 5

Percentage of wins that came vs .500 or worse teams...

    Chiefs 90.0%
    Jets 81.8%
    Colts 80.0%
    Steelers 75.0%
    Saints 72.7%
    Bears 72.7%
    Seahawks 71.4%
    Ravens 66.6%
    Falcons 61.5%
    Packers 60.0%
    Eagles 60.0%
    Patriots 50.0%

I don't get how the Bears are so different than the other playoffs teams.

Well, Dolphins for sure. They shut them out.

I don't know if you're counting the Lions or not because they basically played without Stafford all year.

And then there's Joe Webb. Bears put up 40 that game so Favre likely wouldn't have beat them anyway. Favre also lost by 14 when he played the Bears earlier in the year.

The Bears have a decent chance of getting to the Super Bowl IMO, but if they have to face New England they will get crushed.

Anything can happen and a bye week and home field in the next round is huge. Going to the superbowl is not out of the question. Winning it? I don't see it. I'll take pats, steelers, ravens or colts over them. Probably jets too.

da bearsssssss, one thing lovie smith does very well is find a way to beat the packers.

I might bet my bankroll on the bears(-10), withdraw my winnings and get a ticket to the bears/packers game.
