    I have never dealt with Blackie, but he certainly does not have a solid rep in the minds of a lot of SBR posters. I have looked at the exchange and you can't tell how functional it is until people start using it. Again without liquidity, an exchange is nothing.

    I've been using the site for a week now and I have to admit, I like the look and feel of it. Once you run through a couple of buys and sells, and work thought the trepidations of being a novice to a betting exchange, everything becomes intuitive. I wish there was more liquidity however. All too often events will be listed with no buyers or sellers.

    Seems very quick and to the point
    I do not think we have to worry about the software and ease of use
    We do not have to worry about owner putting money behind product

    Liquidity is not an easy sell with exchanges especially in the begnning
    I think it will be a good exchange

    I'm not sure why it would have to be. After all, Rebatewager is still alive, isn't it? People need to remain cognizant of the unique factual circumstances underlying the recent poker busts. Those places were being run from locations within the U.S.; they were processing checks through U.S. banks. The books that don't don't follow this reckless procedure this should be fine, and I would think the XM exchange falls into this category. I anticipate that the only fallout for offshore books will be some additional problems with processors; but this is the world we live in these days -- nothing new. There will always be more processors.

    Anyone ... Why was Matchbook shut down for US players? I can't even get as far as their home page anymore. New owners? Did Pinnacle buy them? Have any other books been shut down to US players recently?

    New owners, who are proceeding with utmost caution and therefore no longer accepting US customers. They recently blocked access from US IP addresses. You'll need to email them to discuss getting your money back.
