I do not even think its close. He is a blocking WR. Was he tough, and competitive although a Hall of Famer, NO.

    Nope.

Too hard to get in the hall as a WR.

Cris Carter and Tim Brown were both better WR's and they aren't even in.

gotta look at how long its been since he had a pro bowl year, 1000 yard year, just having longevity and winning dancing with the stars is not enough. Guy was never a big touchdown threat either

I'm not so sure he will get in anytime soon, might have to wait for a long time if he ever gets in.

He's in the same category as Jerome Bettis and Curtis Martin. Very good NFL players with long careers but not great.

I'm sorry I don't think Hines Ward is as good as either of them I think Cm should be in the Hof and Berries no to Hines based off numbers I just don't see how they won't get in eventually

Hines is at a huge risk of getting getting before the 2012-13 season starts.

he says he wants to play at least 2 more years.

if he gets cut and doesn't retire and goes to some scrub team and hangs on for a year or two. I think that actually will hurt his HOF chances. But the guy doesn't care about HOF status, he just loves to play the game.

but yeah retiring now with 1,000 career receptions would look kinda roberto clemente-ish with his 3,000 hits

don't see him getting in now, seeing how hard it is for Carter, Brown, and company
