Early look ahead. HAMMER the vols?

Don’t watch a ton of college hoops admittedly, but have caught enough of Creighton and Tennessee and I feel like Tennessee is an absolute slam dunk here. We saw a Tennessee team absolutely anemic from 3pt range win a game against a tough Texas team by playing outstanding defense and running some great offensive sets down the stretch. Knecht with his worst performance of the season, and they still win. I’m really surprised this game is almost a pick ‘em, which is why I’m posting here. It looks like a big mismatch to me, so I’d love some pro Creighton opinions so that I can consider more.

be careful about putting too much on just one game.

barnes the UT coach has much more material to work with his entire career than the creighton coach mcdermott has.

but, barnes has not been Past the Sweet 16 since 08 so 16 years ago.

creighton just went their LY and has a better team this year.

they are more veteran the LY, better on D, and more clutch from 3.

    2 seed vs 3 seed.

i do like this UT team a lot but this is a dangerous spot so i am staying away.

the blue jays an extremely live dog.

    GL on your play.

Homie, any coaching edge to Creighton over Tenn?

    The Creighton strengths are obvious:
*Veteran nucleus. They should be ready.
*Fluid offensive team. They pass and find the best option.

Getting past Altman was sticky. I'm sure Altman knew Creighton inside and out. In some ways, I think TENN will be not as well-prepared.

Not sure why you would assume Altman knew CU inside out when he last coached there 14 years ago. Maybe he knows how to get around the Creighton campus, but that's about it.

Interesting article. I didn't pick up on this until now:

*Creigh/Oreg played at the same site in 1st round game.
...Creighton fans had a natural rooting interest in the Oregon/SouthCarolina game.

“Fluid offense” lol.. they looked like chickens with their heads cut off against Oregon. Luckily they have talented scorers that were creating shots out of nothing. Wouldn’t call it fluid though, that’s for sure.

I would not touch this game.
Tennessee plays way too inconsistent and is prone to long scoring droughts because most their team cant shoot. Plus they are really bad in tight pressure games and Barnes sucks.

Creighton missed so may wide open 3's against Oregon that they usually make. They were really lucky to win.
They were 1 or 2 plays from making the final 4 last year so the moment wont be too big for them.

If I had to play this game I would play the under.
