Imagine rolling with JohnnyVegas in his younger days

1955: Title fight @ Yankee Stadium
"Maricano is going down. I don't like him."

    1969 NCAA Final Four
"Who is this Alcindor guy? And what's with the goggles?"

    1984 Olympics - 400 meter Hurdles
"I'm telling you. Moses is gonna get beat today."

Yeah, for sure. First Ali-Liston fight. You would have had the +600 for sure.

In fairness to Johnny, he did have:
    *Owings over Gable in 1970
    *Douglas over Tyson in 1990
    *Desanto over Lee in 2017

JV would've smashed the Giants v 18-0 Patriots and been smiling for a month after

most here know I am one of the ultimate Brady haters so you know I'm not lying when I tell you I was telling EVERYONE I knew at work, friends, family that the Giants were going to beat them and 90% laughed or rolled their eyes...

I had the ultimate last laugh after that game... all the signs were there

Giants tested them late in the reg season... they got a free pass v an injured Chargers team in the AFCCG... and Brady played like ass in that game

Ya that was a good one but some argue he got lucky w the long count after Tyson knocked him down w an upper cut

if we r just going for odds how about the 5000-1 soccer team that won it all

    Leicester in EPL! Yes.

I've tried to find anyone who had more than $20 on Leicester. Didn't happen. Was viewed as a throw-away bet, b/c they had no chance.

Johnny, that's a great historical reference. The boxing writers thought Liston was unbeatable. And Ali looked too wiry to be a real heavy-wt threat.

Even in the rematch, Ali was still +250. And Ali won again.

The rope a dope tactic was pure genius.
I was originally born in Bayonne NJ, where the "Bleeder" is legendary in that city.
