    Dan Patrick and Mattress Mack.

I believe the vast majority of the Texan people support legalization. Even traditional Christian groups.

I Kind of like Dan Patrick, at least back then when he was on his radio station he owns am 700 the voice. He fights for property taxes and etc. But if he is really one of them pushing it, it actually shocks me, but I guess not, now that I know how you humans operate. Mainly because he fought to get rid of the red light cameras in Houston, and I thought he liked gambling and stuff. Hypocrites every day, but hey let’s go get that trifecta.

That's a large part of the answer. His lobbying against it.

Call me what what you like, I don’t give a shit. I’ll call you dumb fu ck bi tch.
You just say shit to say shit without any substance or facts. Get you shit answers correct or stay out of my threads. Not sure about what you’re talking about Mack , but you are dead wrong with Patrick. He’s not against the bill, he will bring it to the floor only if the Senate passes it. That is not the same as lobbying against sports betting dumb fu ck bi tch.

    • "Unless I have 15 to 16 Republicans, meaning it's a Republican-driven bill because we're a Republican-driven state, I'm not bringing a bill to the floor," Patrick said recently, per KXAN.

All comes down to the Baptist coalition. They still have a considerable influence over Texas politics. The nice thing about Texas is that they don't try and interfere with the offshores and fantasy platforms. This way they can appease both sides of the aisle.

    BTW, Texas women are awesome!

Opposition to the proposals had come from a variety of angles. The most vocal detractor was Rep. Matt Shaheen, R-Plano, who from the beginning has fought the latest push to expand gambling. He warned that if Texas legalized casinos, the number of sex-trafficking and domestic violence cases would “go vertical.”

There was still vocal opposition from Shaheen, who called online sports betting “worse” than casinos because it would be within reach of everyone with an internet connection.

    Sex-trafficking?!

Matt Shaheen, far right wing Baptist. This coalition has had a grip on the Texas government for some time.
