AEK Athens friendly soccer ended after 75 minutes, Betfair settles bet normally

    Is it normal?
    You can watch the replay

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GM7Yagnz9ps

They played for 75 minutes, anyone betting under 1.5 won, it was at odds of 1.60 at the 75th minute...

Some say other bookies simply issued refunds on this one, why Betfair is choosing to settle these bets normally?

    Any ideas?

Yes this is the normal rule on Betfair exchange.

As long as officials declare a result, and don't abandon or reschedule the game, bets stand.

On Sofascore, a poster stated that the match had been previously agreed with a time of 75 mins, so the game is valid.

The sad part is that is not the furthest I've dug. Laid action on some matches in countries I've never heard of before. I'll watch it via streaming and there's a handful of people in stands where it looks like a high school field and being filmed by a handheld camera.

People betting on lower league Aussie soccer are the big ones.

That's barely above amateur park football standard.

The good ones are when they play longer than 90, 4x30 mins etc. rare but can happen, i think psg did one

but never really know if void. looks like "anything goes" for friendlies

I remembered seeing (ok... and wagering) beach soccer during the middle months of Covid. They were 2x30 mins. I just can't remember which books accepted or voided live wagers when the match ended.... oh the crazy times.
