Your Pal Nasher Does NBA Playoffs (Dog Day Afternoon)

    Atlanta Hawks +9.5 Boston Celtics

I've been paying attention to Atlanta lately, they're sneaky good.
Capella is so underrated, the two guards are quite capable of having monster scoring nights on any given night
I'm not going to lie to you, John Collins will never see the insides of the HoF in Springfield without a ticket for admission, but I've always liked him, he's hit or miss, I've seen him lay bricks all game, and I've seen him have big rebound/scoring games too this season that makes me wonder "this is what I know what you're capable of doing"!
It's fair to say Collins is a better than serviceable forward.

Hey, I'm not saying this is the second coming of the Jordan's Bulls, I'm saying getting a 9.5 handicap here is generous.

I'm expecting the Hawks to keep the game within double digits, I've seen enough to know they are capable of doing so.

Sacramento Kings +225 (Series) GS Warriors

The most glaring fact of the matter is GSW pantherid road record and even more pathetic road record vs. .500 teams or better, they have two road wins all season against opponents with winning records, not to mention Sac-Town has one of the best home court advantages in all of the NBA, how the hell am I supposed to ignore all that?

Sabonis is a nightmare matchup for Looney and/or Green.
I actually one of the few that likes Green, but his mind games are ineffective versus Sabonis, and Fox is a stone cold shooter, Steph plays mediocre defense, ditto Klay, I'm happy for Wiggy getting past his personal personal problems and all, his return does not strike fear in me.

In order to slow Fox down Kerr has to give Peyton more than a 18 minute run, and giving up all the offense for defense I don't is the way to go here.

I'm seriously in love with this series play.

Those are my stories and I'm sticking with them.
Best of luck today fellas no matter which way you roll.

1 for 2 won't be bad. Nightcap is all about...

    WARRIORS!

Dub Nation is driving only 90 miles and taking over Golden 1 Center for home court advantage.

I don't see the Kings winning 4 times. Fox and Sabonis are good, but the rest of that crew is medicore. Barnes, Murray, Monk, etc. I think they overachieved in the reg season. Warriors don't care about road wins. They have the same team they've had for years. I don't see Steph going home in round 1, he's playing arguably the best basketball of his career, and is arguably the best player in the world right now.

Kings are scrappy this year and pretty good at home. GS has been suspect on the road all year long. Just saying.

    Thank you, Nashy.

*3rd pop (for me) on Kings series +234
...I like these plays where it looks like they're pricing the team for history but maybe not for today. Yes, Warriors will need to reverse the road trend. If SAC wins just one game at GoldSt, that means Gold St has to win 2+ at Sac.

I don't think Curry is playing the best ball of his career. He's obviously still a great player, but he's not in his prime. It's easy to forget some of the years he's had in the past, there were times when he was jacking up 3's from anywhere on the court and sinking them like they were free throws.

The Warriors as a team look pretty soft on defense, that's not been the case with this unit up until recently. I don't know that Wiggins can correct that but we'll see if he can at least help them tighten the screws, along with playoff adrenaline. The Kings are not going to be an easy out, if an out at all.

How do you see it playing out, Lake?

Props to Kings on a great win. I get the sense the Kings will have a tough time duplicating that effort.

Well obviously books know golden state is going to win the series. I'm not sure game to game but I think the warriors will win the next one and even if they don't they will win both at home and eventually steal one in sac.

Thanks for the reply. For sure the books post lines that are based on an aggregation of data. Over time, they're not too far off.

Two King players had games that will be tough to repeat:
    *Fox: 38 pts
    *Monk: 14/14 FT

I do think Sabonis can play better. He was only 5/17 from the field.

What I did do also but didn't mention it was grabbed Kings +1.5 games (series) at -110

In other words the book was saying if you think Kings would win two (or more) games in this series we'll offer you even money, -110/-110 is considered a man to man pick 'em.

It's also one of Pacino's greatest film efforts, and when you consider he's done Scent of a Woman, Serpico, Godfather, and a slew of other all time great motion pictures, it hits you like a ton of bricks just what kind of all time great actor he is.

I personally loved Dog Day Afternoon, French Connection is still my all time favorite cops and robbers drama though.

(there's a reason why they call me 'the king of digression', well, the call me the king of other things as well, some of them not very flattering )
