Pointsbet reduced juice is a good sign books will start spending money on retaining players and taking market share from others instead of new signup promos.

If Fanduel or Draftkings follow that idea, diverting ad money to funding lower vig as their marketing it could have a big effect. Others will have to follow.

Pointsbet Ontario is the best regulated book available here IMO. Low juice and fast payouts. No hassles.

I wasn't a fan at first but after watching the lines I've realized they usually offer better ods than the rest.

Surprising that they don't do that, at least here and there on selected markets; instead giving huge profit boosts, especially for sgp's and props. I think the reason is that they don't want people to wise uo to the value of straight betting on reduced vig. They want you hooked on parlays.

    Yes

You can’t make money with reduced juice, unless you do mega volume and most don’t do it

All these books are gearing it to parlays it’s where all the money is

Three regulated legal sports books here in Arkansas and each is worthless for bases.

Not all, but over half, yeah. They'd be sunk without it. For the most part, they don't know how to book for real.

They LOVE to offer single game parlays that are basically lotto tickets but go ahead and try to play a parlay using a side with a total and see what happens, no bet.

Single game parlays with little chance? Yeah they take those, heck they offer big odds with boosters but they rarely hit.

Those are the only ones I usually hit. When I take a 2 teamer spread and total is where I fail.

Draftkings has nice promos with the up 7 points win early on Thursdays and 10 pts on Sunday. A lot of the dogs have been up 10 and then lost the game. Nice for those with the win early tickets.

I’ve already noticed this year FanDuel has been much more careful with live lines. Last year they would have everything open during games. This year I’ve noticed that they are quicker to pull things off the board and have delays in what they post

draftkings to me tries the most to cater to people recently. early wins for football, reimbursing judge's special hit bet the night he walked 4 times, etc.

pointsbet reducing juice is very nice.

still need freeplays and better comp systems. fanduel for a big company offers no comps - why? at least DK allows you to earn DK dollars to bet with.

Back when I used to use PointsBet (NJ), I often found they had very good lines if you liked the dog, worse lines if you liked the favorite.

Haven't used them in awhile. Basically all DK now. I've said it before and I'll say it again. They're flooded with SGP and SGPx promos, and I won't do any of them. I take advantage of any boost I can, but those parlays are losers.

Yeah, the customer aquisition model doesn't have lot of customer retention outs.

I think I mentioned before, new account flow is more important than number of accounts. This is similar to situations where cash flow is more important than just having cash. It's an analogy, but it's a valid one.

This seems to still hold true.

There is more money and bonuses in new accounts than anything else, it seems.

    Article is flawed...

"Prior to my 19th birthday, the legal age for wagering on sports in Canada"

Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec are 18.

    Can't read any more now.

Their hold is OK, but they need higher volume and lower costs. Instead, they spend like mad sailors and then limit anyone with a pulse.

I feel like Gold meant to say handle, not hold.
