Why is UNC disrespected by the Books?

    It just doesn't figure?
But, I have to worry though, what the *ell do they know that I don't know?
I'm still a non-believer but soon we will know if they are closer to being right than my overconfident brain?

This will be a major battle, even bigger than this Duke/Carolina clash.

*And shouldn't we be more worried about Villanova? Yes, I do believe so.

Vegas, without that injury, we might have been looking at a pick-em? The Books aren't fools and I doubt they are on this line?
Strange things can happen to quality fundamental teams like Villa. They are dangerous. They win when it counts most and usually make fewer errors.

    How are they being disrespected?

I believe this season Duke was like -10.5 at home and then Duke -3.5 at UNC. Put those together and Duke should be like -6 to -7 on a neutral court. -4 now is showing UNC a lot of respect for recent form, don't you think?

Without double-checking, UNC's last 4 winners sure do show a lot of team playing momentum, and 2 big blowouts, also. And a notch more impressive than Duke's last 4 wins, too. I believe.
I like a team that "seems" to be rolling, yet, they are tied with Villa as the biggest underdog in the Finals?

Going to agree with gold here. Not really seeing any value in a -4-110/+4-110 line. Super slight lean on Duke so I'd take Duke at -3.5-105 or better or UNC at +5-105 or better.

Yes, but why, JJ and D-2, also? The line you say is right but you must have a sound logical reason to believe that? I could be wrong, so what do you have?

Not bad. But it probably should be even less? This is The Final Four.

If Duke is in control at the half, they should win? If UNC leads at the half, Duke should be in serious trouble?
It's interesting, to say the least. An all-time clash of Final Fours and certainly it doesn't appear to me to see Duke in control all the way through?

Last reply unless I have a worthy one?

There's been plenty of larger Final Four spreads. This is also a 2 vs. 8 seed FWIW.

Last season Gonzaga was -14 vs. UCLA.

In fact, take a look here. This is the first season since 2011 that there hasn't been a spreads of 5 or more. https://www.betfirm.com/final-four-b...-line-history/

I'm not sure I see your point?
For the last 8 of 10 favorites to win or lose the final game, the line was less than 5 points.

The Final Four: 12 over 4 1/2 point favorites and 8 under 5 point favorites, but we had 4, 5 point favorites in that 12 group, too.
    Pretty foggy to me.

How about in the last 12 final four semifinals the spread has been 4.5 or greater 10 of 12 games. -4 is not a big spread, especially taking into account the seeding difference. If anything, it's fishy that the spread isn't higher. Would have figured more like 5.5.

Duke is getting escorted in. Lotta fans won't be happy. Sports industry makes billions off of unhappy fans. Greyhound races; don't let the dog get the bone.
