What are your thoughts on Round Robin?

I don’t see how these are profitable at all. I think you literally have to get 3/4 of your picks right to profit with them.

You're a little over 6% to hit all four picks, and 12.5% to hit 3 out of 4. House edge is too much to overcome with that wager long term.

There is no appeal to them. No one is playing them. Well maybe you do but you always lose.

It probably works better than straight parlays with a group of +EV dog bets where you just need two to profit and four would give you a lottery size payoff.

Only need to win 52.4% (at -110). No idea where the 75% came from, that is literally not even close.

Liked these a lot at Jerry's Nugget in Las Vegas when they paid +650 on three team parlays. That is better than -105 from a small, independent book. Easy way to find an edge and get a good amount down. Six teams at $10 each way was a $200 bet.

They are just sets of parlays. You could but them in manually. I guess maybe I way to get more down on simultaneously occuring events if you have limited bank roll. Maybe you can avoid limits some places

We’re talking round robin here. That 52 percent is straight bets. If you hit 52 percent of the picks in your round robin you will never ever profit.

Winning 52% in round robin bets will be a loss. Winning more than 52.4% of bets in round robin parlays (at -110) will be a profit.

So IF one wanted to do round robin, it would be more ideal to play an odd number of teams?

For any bets, whether parlay, round robin, or straight bet, the only thing that should matter is the probability of winning and the payout. The number of teams has nothing to do with that. Against -110 lines (ie +264 two team parlay, +596 three team parlay, etc), if the games have a 53% chance of winning or more, the bets are profitable. If the games have a 52% chance of winning or less, the bets or not profitable. Parlays and round robins increase the amount of action, which can amplify the profits and losses, but do nothing to change which probabilities are profitable and which are not.

I will use RR as extra spice sometimes.. at the rate of about 25% to 15% of the bet, mostly with the by 2's option.
Sometimes I will arrange a by 3's option if there are enough sides, but those would be ML and a large number.
RR's are a waste if your ML's are too high odds. It's ok to have one large odd in the RR, but not 2+.
