Do you think there is a video with someone throwing nails on the track? No there isn't. No one is zooming the cameras on a lap car that is 4 laps down is going 30mph slower when the driver reaches in his glove compartment and grabs a few nails and thows them out of the window.

Judging by Pavy's answer, we don't know that's what happened.
The driver and team did say they felt there was some debris out there as the tires should have been fine.
There's no investigation or anything about yesterday's flat.
It's a non story as nobody is interested in getting to the bottom of it...yet.
It just goes down as a last lap flat tire...for now.
KVB this is my final response. The car obviously hit debris to get a flat tire especially since it was leading which means it was the first car that hit the debris.
The debris could have been accidentally dropped form a lap car, intentionally dropped from a lap car or a fan may bave threw something on the track.
Do I know 100% what happened? No.
But what happened was one of the 3 options I presented.
“We are suing this woman who behaved so badly,” Pierre-Yves Thouault, the tour’s deputy director, told Agence France-Presse. “We are doing this so that the tiny minority of people who do this don’t spoil the show for everyone.”
They aim to charge the woman with "deliberately violating safety regulations and causing injuries that might prevent someone working for up to three months".
However, the woman, who fled the scene, had not immediately been found, according to Ouest France (via France 24).
