    knicks are good but they have problems when taking big leads. they should beat the hawks but no sure thing. someone has to step up when randle is not hitting shots or triple teamed. would be nice if barrett becomes a bonafide scorer in these playoffs.

    Thibideau teams almost always disappoint in the playoffs because they play harder than most teams in the regular season, but they don’t have another level they can go to in the postseason. Atlanta wasn’t healthy most of the year, Galanari and Bogdonovich missed a lot of time, but Atlanta is healthy now, and they were also much better after the coaching change.

    Knicks tick a lot of boxes but suffer terrible guard play. Payton is punchless and Thibs knows it. Rose mostly washed... he still has the pull-up shot and the floater but nothing else -few strings to his bow. Barrett is just a project.

    You're wrong though of course. Thibs teams are usually v.well prepared for the playoffs because they play playoff basketball all season. His first year in Chicago they got to the conf finals, 2nd year major injury problems, 3rd year they upset the Nets in spite of Noah having plantar fascaitis. Most of their his failures during the Bulls era was due to James being on the other team.

    The Bulls had the best record in the league when they got to the conference finals and they won just 1 game against Miami in that series. Thibideau never wins anything in the postseason. They beat an old nets team because Nate Robinson took over that series. Thibideau didn’t like Robinson and he only played him that year because the Bulls had injuries you dumb shit.

    The Bulls 1 win in the conference finals was a playoff failure, in Rose was the mvp and the Bulls had the best record in the league, to win just 1 game in the conference finals, including a blown double digit lead in the final five minutes of game 5, was a failure.

    As a fan I hope you're right, but my instincts tell me we were hot at the right time to get to where we are and will come back to earth, hawks in 5 or 6 would be my prediction. They are healthy and gelling, when we beat them in the regular season they had key pieces injured or who were in their first few games after coming back from one

    Agree, 5 of the top 7 players in the series are on Atlanta,
    Young, Randle, capela, Collins, Rose, Bogdonavich, and Galanari are the top 7 players in the series.
