What does Bookmaker take on a golf bet? If you are going to max bet, you might move the line. The question is can you move it solely with a forum post.

back when i first had this account, i couldve probably moved lines though


i now self deprecate so people dont follow me

lol during NCAAF openers I would tell DDD, on weekly basis, which lines we were going to move and even how far we were going to move them.

Of course none of those plays had writeups. Actually, none of my plays have write ups. I made one description of the Fund, or strategy, and all plays follow that one strategy. So it's a one write up fits all plays for that Fund.

So I'm really just talking about posting plays.

There were times that we didn't need to apply the pressure to get to the target price because it starting getting pressure anyway. Not saying I caused that either.

This was a regular occurence in the Saloon on each opening Sunday. While most were sweating NFL bets, I was posting opening buys real time. No time for writeups in that biz.

The NJ lines almost always the most scurred, shaving points off the line like Heritage (who's openers come way later anyway).

Having a presence in Circa was critical as well.

Bottom line is that if you have accounts in the right place and the minimal resources, you can most definitely move these early lines, all by yourself if you want.

OK, I think we can agree that you are not going to move a line. But now you understand why people do write-ups. They want to put on a show just like you wanted to risk a lot of money to move a Bookmaker line because you know how much they will move on so that people will give you some credit. It is that desire for recognition that makes people do write-ups. Along with the fact that they just want to talk about the game.
