Browns Pass Defense Depleted Heading Into Sunday


[COLOR=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)]The Browns pass defense will be at a disadvantage as they take on Pittsburgh in their first playoff game in a generation. Denzel Ward tested positive for COVID, missed Week 17 and is in danger of missing the Wild Card as well. They are already without Greedy Williams as he has been out all year with a shoulder injury, and if Ward sits they could be in real trouble. Their 3rd corner Terrence Mitchell is questionable with a non-injury related issue, while depth pieces MJ Stewart Jr. (calf) and Kevin Johnson (COVID) could miss the game as well. At safety, Ronnie Harrison will miss due to testing positive for COVID-19, leaving the back-end compromised. Their pass rush is hurting as well, and if the loss of Olivier Vernon to a season-ending Achilles rupture wasn’t enough, now Myles Garrett (shoulder) and Sheldon Richardson (neck) are questionable to play. With all of these question marks, they are also without HC Kevin Stefanski, as he has tested positive for COVID-19.
