East Tennessee St has only one player from last year (not a starter) returning which is odd as the whole team from last year that won the conference is gone. The coach is also new but he was an assistant for the school previously. They have transfers from Maryland (Serrell Smith), Kansas St (David Sloan), a center from Northern Ky (Silas Adheke) and guard from Southeast Missouri (Ledarrius Brewer).
Talentwise I think East Tennessee St has players that played in better confrences than Abilene Christian but obviously they won't have that much chemistry together since this is a brand new team.
Abilene Christian is a favorite by -1.5 but I think East Tennessee St is the better talented team.
If anyone knows anything about the ETSU transfers chime in.
