Lost all faith in my capping ability & considering taking the rest of the month off.

After losing 5K last Tues on tennis I've gotten really gunshuy on betting anything that seems like a lock no matter how high the juice. After losing $2400 to win $569 On the Paris final 3rd set over 8.5 games I actually made an even dumber bet today. I made it when Pospisil was up 4-1 in the 1st set. Long story short it went 3 sets, Marchenko was serving for the match at 5-4 in the 3rd & was even up 4-0 in the TB.
Luckily the Canadian challenger level scrub pulled it out( fun fact: Pospisil the only player ever in the top 25 men or women to never win a main draw clay court match but I digress). You would think luckily scraping by with this non loss would teach me a lesson to bet smart but somehow I doubt it.

If you’re regularly betting $2500 to win $150 it’s not your capping ability it’s your decision making that’s totally going to kill you.doesn’t matter the sport... as stupid a bet as you cam make laying $2500 to make $150...

Everyone goes through bad times gambling it’s how you react to to tough times that’s eventually going to make or break you... Bol in the future.

Only thing squarer than that pick is the square surrounding it.

If your betting like this, you obviously have alot of disposable income. Winning $150 or $200 is nothing for you, but losing and chasing this way could really hurt. Is the minor win worth the risk?

However good or bad your capping ability is now, it was most surely just as effective last week or last month; the only thing that has changed is the variance of the game. Here's a tip: stay away from high juice lines and keep it to, say, 40 cents or less. Regardless of how certain an outcome looks, when you're betting into four, five, six dollar juice, the true odds are most surely in between the two lines.

Bet more -110 odds and your expectations of winning will be more realistic. Everyone thinks they will hit -300, -500, -2000 at an impossible rate when in reality they are losing.

Here's the thing when I start off with a relatively low balance I'm able to bet a lot smarter but then when I have a good run & really build it up that's when I get nervous. Started with $1500 4 weeks ago, risked $877 on Rublev & the rest on this 5TP. Once that hit I was able to cash out 15K & kept cashing out everyday whatever I won and leaving 5K in their until I lost the whole 5K last Tues. I reloaded 4K, got it up to 8670 & was gonna cash out 5k if I got it up to 9k. Then I made that 1 dumb $2400 bet yesterday to try to get it 9K and have been in retard mode ever since.

Well hopefully that Challenger one cashes, you learn your lesson, and stop betting -600 or whatever it was.

Of course it did. I mean why would a -1250 prematch favorite close out a match serving 5-3 40-15 in the 3rd again a guy ranked #1154. Terrible beat but I totally deserved it. If that's not bad enough I just bet my entire bankroll 4966 to win 1491(-333 on Eubanks after winning the 1st set.(gee whatever could go wrong). Whether this bet hits or not it's just a matter of time before I go bust so hopefully this thread could at least serve as a cautionary tale of what not to do when you're on tilt.
