On a side note, anyone paying retail sticker price for any sneaker/sportswear crap is a buffoon. I never owned a piece of Under Armour.
Then one day I was low on golf balls and stopped @ a Dick`s sporting goods. Shitty selection, but picked out a dozen. On my way to pay, saw a large discount rack with Under Armour tops. $5.00 for sticker price $35 and up. Bought like 10 of them. Nice shirts for the price of a Hanes t-shirt. $1-2-300 for a sneaker. Simply no.

Nike can afford the loss and could care less about their employees.

Yup.. Company only advertises to the black community.. It's backfiring now.. Many white people turned off to Nike now.

Also a side effect when you spend more on marketing than actual quality of the shoe. Paying athletes to endorse when they're not playing right now. All advertising dollars being wasted.

The truth is that the shoes are trash and have been for a long time.

I hate to disappoint the crew here, but this loss really has nothing to do with white consumers taking a stand against Nike politics. All retail is in the toilet, but keep on fighting the good fight.

worked at Nike years ago & they were always prepared for the BIG TRANSITION.

online shopping life is here for permanent stay.

the layoffs were coming, this just happened to be a great opportunity to cut ties.

Thanks. I am a ragtop guy now, but believe this era Riv stands above, alone and superior to any personal luxury car of the era.
A neighbor had one when I was in grade school. His second car was an Eldorado. Dude had some class.
Of course, him and his cars were long gone before I had a chance to acquire.

From the link in the first post:

The email, which Complex saw, did not specify how many employees and which departments would be affected but mentioned that workers at Nike's retail stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities were not expected to be among those laid off.

If workers at retail outlets are not being laid off that would suggest this isn't the transition you speak of.

what you quoted there is bogus. read what I bolded for you so maybe you can understand that the quote is literally saying nothing. just stealing your attention span. use critical thinking and read around more before you come into the gauntlet with me on something that I have first hand experience in..Mr Bucks aint making the playoffs.

Congratulations, my 82.5 to 1 bet didn't hit so you must be right. My OKC at +785 is looking good though. I have another that is also looking good but don't want to jinx it.

You're not making sense with your reply though. How can anything be other than expected until it happens?

all Im telling you is to read around more & not assume everything is true. you read 1 quote from 1 article & thought you were in position to call me wrong. Im not one of those guys. don't come for my neck unless you are strapped to the teeth with knowledge on this topic. I don t mean any disrespect & I congratulate you on your bets.
