    I'm not sure I would ever quote anything the Trumpet says in this context... Def tragic of course... He was familiar to us, he was a good ambassador for the sport, and even in the complexity of what a good/shit human is - he was well spoken, in many languages, and literally in every sense, a very good, even exceptional entertainer. I have similar opinions of him as a person, as I can also be a shit person, so I won't really judge that aspect... just a shitty way to exit, particularly with a family who loved him.

    I met Kobe as an 18 year old Laker rookie.. He was a nice kid to me back then. He'd work out at Gold's Gym in Venice at night when I'd go. Spotted him a few times on the bench press. I'd see him around town over the years also driving in his new Range Rovers with his family as well.
