First of gb had no business being a team with a bye.

Now that aside why was sea playing on the road with a 11-5 record? Up

Philly should have been 6 seed playing first game in new Orleans.

Minnesota should have been playing in sea .

Then new Orleans would have played in green Bay.

Sea would have played in SF.

Today we would have new Orleans at SF.

saints blew it late in the game with the clock management and had to settle for a long FG just to get to OT

then lost coin toss and lost the game

    set this debacle up

GB may be the worst 13-3 team ever. Dallas was better. I know GB record was better. Big deal it was positive luck variance. Neither off or def was ranked in the top 10. Both units for Dallas were in the top 10

should add another team so the top seed only gets a bye

win the division you are in automatically

rank 1-7 based on record and tiebreakers

NFL playoffs have always been the worst of all the major sports. I prefer a playoff series. But to be able to go to a conference championship game with only having to win one game is stupid. Or even only having to win two games to go to the SB is a joke. Have we had any good playoff games so far? NFL has best regular season but most forgettable playoffs.

I like it the way it is. Sure it's always a little questionable when a team with a worse record is seeded higher, but there is something to be said for winning your division.

Dallas didn't beat a single team that finished with a winning record and they piled up numbers on the NFC Least.

I don't have a problem with format but the eagles did not deserve a home game. Sure they won division so give them a playoff game.

NFL should look into expanding the playoffs.

Right about philly but they lost to Seattle so no uproar and nothing will change.

Do you remember about 10 years ago give or take, the saints had to go to seattle who had a losing record? The saints were like 12-4 or some shitt, and Seattle at 7-9 beat them!!

Absolute worse 6 teams in NFC history made the playoffs this year which tells me the NFC is currently the worse conference after being considered the best conference for many years. The Vikings, Seattle, and Eagles were hurt or flawed coming in, the Saints choked and the Packers just looked outclassed by what is now considered a great Niners team. I can't believe the Niners are 17 points better than the Vikings and Packers and as dominant as they looked against those two teams. Please tell me the Vikings and Packers just suck.

as long as you have conferences and or divisions you always stand the risk of the two best teams not playing in the final game.

Depends on how they beat the Chiefs. If the Niners shut down the Chiefs and make them look average then I will know that the Niners defense is an all time great leading the team to victory. If the Niners win in a shootout then I will know that Andy Reid is the worse Big game coach in the history of the sport and that Kyle Shanahan is the ultimate coach in pregame preparation, stategy, and play calling. Either way it just doesn't seem like the Niners should be as good as they are showing. Outclassing everybody.

NFL has by far the best playoff system. It constantly rewards winning by teams in contention and those already clinched.

Compare that to MLB where once you win a division there's no incentive to do anything. Same for NHL.

The moron soccer fans still cannot figure out that an NFL format would solve all the issues of colluding on draws in the group stage. If in a group you had 1 advance with bye, 2 advance to a wild card, and rest eliminated, every team would always have an incentive to win.

Lakerboy wants a rule change but has NO proposed change to rule. LOL. Is the proposed rule going to be not to go by teams' records, but have NFL intervene and just decide who is the best team? What is this, the NBA?
