What sealed the deal was clearly the impressive performance of 6 first downs yesterday

This is a good hire. If they can bring back Andrew Barry for GM things will be looking up rather quickly for Browns.

Good - glad he is gone! With all the bitching from Zimmer he ran the plays Zimmer wanted. Zimmer complained so much to Norv Turner he walked a few years ago.

Vikes do not even need a dc. Zimmer does that.

Cannot get a top level oc because of Zimmer.

I would favor Kubiak but Zimmer will ruin his play calling.

Note to Zimmer! This is 2020 not 1990!

I did like the zone offensive blocking but teams easily stopped the run with 6 in the box. Absolutely, should have audibled out of every run facing that front. But, guess who would have bitched?

    Hopefully Vikes bring back Schumer

I think Zimm really reigned in Stefanski... should have let him be more agressive.

I thought play-calling was horrible against the Saints. Ran the exact same plays at the goal line on consecutive trips, settled for a field goal first time and bailed out by Rudolph's push off in overtime

Stupid hire, Kubiak fixed the Vikings offense with their zone blocking system, he's nothing special.

So it was Zimmer's idea to keep throwing inept screen passes nearly every down even though it was sniffed out time and time again?

Yes, not enough time to go downfield. Also his idea to run into the middle of the line against 6 in the box. Cousins has no mobility - cannot move the pocket to buy time. Zimmer wants to grind, grind, grind. Anything and everything that is low risk and does not put the defense in the hole when they take the field.

When you are at the game in person you can see the whole field and it really jumps out that the Vikes have to go double tight end to buy enough time to throw. Edge rushers kill them.
