    Bitcoin Price December 31: $5000.01 - $10000 @ 1.60 (-166)

Looks like nice odds, this is a big range and all the predictions from analysts are read predict a closing price around 7-8k. Trend is clearly down now but doubt we go below 5k anyway.

    Value bet IMO

seems safe but we know how they could turn out

Bitcoin a dead product now and you can see it in basically zero volatility

Yep, just like the US dollar. Very low volatility and a dead product.

It is a dead financial product, very low volume US Commodity Exchanges

Put your money long term in Big Companies and do well

Bitcoin is not an investment tool, its has no regulation and no use in the day to day USA economy

    Never will

Seems like a good bet but a lot can happen in a month and a half. It could easily rally back up to 9k-9500 in a few days and then you'd have to sweat it breaking 10k

It's a currency, but it can not be used as such with high volatility. A more stable price is only a good thing for bitcoin as a product imo.

I see more exchanges closing too, bankrupt

Many banning USA customers too because of future regs coming

It is good for gambling and moving money but most of lets say USA have no idea how to even open account

Markets controlled and manipulated by big investors which is not good

I say 85% have no idea

To be honest I expect the price to be closer to 5k than 10k, but we will see!

actually the lack of volatility shows how much of a viable product it is can't be washed by institutional dumping.

    6.7k right now.

There is a strong support at 6.4k so we should be good. I don't expect Bitcoin to overtake 10k so the risk is to go below 5k, but the support should hold until end of the year.

Around 7k is good I think, but I would sell at 9k in the short term. 2020 is not looking good from what I am reading here and there.

Buy now if you're willing to wait. What's happening now isn't unusual. We'll get another 2017-18 climb. We just need some type of change to get another big spike. Things such as ETH with smart contracts and ICOs can make the whole market jump. Everyone is looking for that get rich now moment.

There hasn't been an inverse relationship with the US economy and the price of bitcoin, but the US economy is so good that it would be tough to buy cryptos at this time. Most of the time financial occurrences in countries outside of the US have more of an impact.

I bought 20% of what I'm buying at 6700-7000, will add more if it goes below 6500, then more at 6000, and finally at 5000-5500....if it gets there. Cant see it going any lower than that. You should start to scale in now. Dont try to go all in at the very bottom or you'll just miss it.

I think Bitcoin will not go back to 19k ever. Or if it does it won't be before 5 or 10 years from now but that means improvements of the current network. Remember how Hitman on this forum lost money just because the price was going down hard at the time of his withdrawal.

It happened to me too last year. Around october/November I was up big and it started crashing, I continued to pound NFL but couldn't cash out after super bowl because the value had gone so much that I thought I needed more to get where it should have been...long story short I tilted away my whole balance on casino games and betting like half bitcoins (~2k at that time) on random hockey games.

I’m not sure I understand once you send your bitcoin to sports book it is converted to dollars once you cash out you are given it back at bitcoins at current market price isn’t that how it works. So are you saying while the bitcoin was sitting in your wallet it had lost value by the time you sent it to Sports book ?

I play on nitrogen which uses btc to bet so in a sense you could win or lose without even making one bet.

A bankroll in Bitcoin (Nitrogen, Fairlay, etc) can be devastating indeed. I actually had a balance at Fairlay before but luckily I deposited in October 2017 to withdraw in January.

I follow some traders and the ones I follow see a very mediocre year 2020 and possibly 2021 as well. Cannot tell about 2022 and beyond, some think the halving of next year will boost the price but I personally don't buy it.
