These were their results at the WC two years ago. He said good teams don't get blown out. Depends what level you define good and how you define blowout in a 40min game. Lost to France & Serbia, went to OT vs the Turks. People cry about America missing players blah blah... most other teams don't have their full team either in any given tournament.

He's gotten softer every year. I think the Leonard thing ruined him. Every time USA lose it's always praise for the other team. Never anything critical. Then strategically why would anyone start Green & Bam up front and play Durant at SF??

It all comes back to his style of coaching. He's all for player empowerment, and by definition minimizing his own profession. I prefer a coach with confidence in his abilities personally.

this is a small team for one I think with the change of style in play over the last few years with more long distance shooting we thought we could just show up with a small team and shoot the lights out and beat anyone. Nonsense. They invite everyone to play and take the best that show up. As for absences lots of teams are missing key players and they don't cry about it. Serbia didn't even make the tournament because of absences. Spain lost a starter 2 days before the tournament thanks to the T'wolves GM.
Fact of the matter is most American players don't want to play in a bubble with no fans.
