oh, i see uihlein is here, so is tringale

im only taking a few flyers in gpps and waiting til after round 1 to bet alot in contests

dawgys holmes pick and b. watson might be my favorites in terms of cost per player at fantasy

sad that pgatour can offer shot link for every golfer but cannot put out decent stats and course conditions

euro tour blows them out of the water

The Old White TPC Course at Greenbrier is not the most challenging golf course. The rough is the most difficult part of this course. Thankfully for this weak field, the fairways and the greens are easy to hit. The Par-70 course measures around 7300 yards this week, but the altitude makes it feel closer to 7000 yards. There will be plenty of birdies to be had, with the winning score likely landing between -15 and -20. The 2018 leaderboard tended to favor precision golfers, but there were a healthy mix of bombers too. Excellent tee-to-green ball strikers will dominate my lineups this week.

looks like rain fri sat sun could be soft greens

hey cincy did you write that article?

    what a clown show

easy to hit fairways, but he wants ball strikers?

if its easy to hit fairways, you dont need ball strikers

oh he says its also easy to hit greens

easy to hit fairways and greens....but he wants ball strikers on his team, not putters

complete fukkin opposite of what you need

when its tight, you need ball strikers....not when easy

    what a fukkin dumbass

granted, i dont know if itll be playing tight or not

and personally, i dont think anyone knows without being there

it was held in july, yea even the fukkin rough will be easier in july in west Virginia

but how does it play in september...i want on course analysis of the height and thickness of the rough

someone somewhere should be able to say that and firmness of greens

dont even see it on twitter

Wide open field - course slightly changed, but not enough to effect previous stats there imo.
I'm a Bubba homer so I'll have a few bucks on him at +2500, that's pretty generous in my book. Other guys with decent track records here getting good odds: Lee, Streb, Cejka, Henley. Longshots: Anyone fresh from the cornFed tour (someone will be dialed in), also Kang and Hurley III. Top 20: Cjek. Top 10: Streb.
    Thursday bets:
    Bubba 25/1
    Im 25/1
    Cjek 225/1
    Streb 50/1
    Cejka top 20 10/1

First round leader sucker bet Kokrak 28/1

changes were after the flooding in '17...all the greens (grass) were redone, some changes to the bunkers...again, not enough to effect the historic stats imo.

what you just said really doesnt matter.....and you pointed it out correctly

we need to know the difference in rough height from july to sept. in west virginia

AT THE MINIMUM, someone around that area golfs at some municipal course and can tell us how thick the grass is

    noone fukkin checks in though

we need to know if greens are receptive or not as well.........and that has nothing to do with a course nearby

i couldnt care less about wind conditions and rain for this week and last

    i can find that easy

    ALSO

    greenbrier is a RESORT

resorts tend to make their courses have wider fairways and forgiving rough

    why?

because they make money on you vacationing there

its your relaxing time. they dont want you struggling for 5.5 hours and then think you will book with them again next year

thats why what, -19 won IN JULY....noone wants to go to florida in july

its their prime season for an easy course

    however, its september now

its within a few months of them closing up shop anyway

so what is the rough like

    KEY QUESTION

i think kokrak is overrated here

    everyone is on him

and hes not good enough for his price tag

he still might finish top 10, but i dont trust him enough for the price

ill hope he gets 35th or lower and will PASS

why do i like bubba as well?

    its a resort

which means no tree lined fairways off the tees

    wide open

    plays into bubbas hands

probably why he fukkin makes it his 2nd home

Didn't say it didn't matter Rudy, just said that it's probably not that important this week...some of these dudes live religiously by their little green books....basically they have a years worth of info on these greens....btw, pick your poison on what stats you want to cap on any given week, most of the time it comes down to gut feel and luck.

I agree that the odds on Kokrak aren't where they should be, but he carded a 64 and a 65 last year, threw some on him at great odds to lead the first day. Bubba's got his own demons, that's why I like the dude...he could have a 90 yd wedge shot to win the tournament and he'll still hook it another 50 for show...hopefully he'll be in it come Sunday...Gl with your plays.

i said you pointed your stat out correctly

and im saying the height/thickness of this rough plus how receptive the greens are should be the major factor this week

im not trrying to pick gut feel and luck to win the tourney

im trying to pick 6 golfers against someone elses 6 golfers

and i value these stats the most this week
